A heart filled with aspirations and the zeal to excel is all that our little ones had before they began preparing for the grand annual fiesta. Their zeal inspired them to march forward till excellence was achieved in all their endeavours.

Suncity School, Gurugram celebrated its much awaited annual fiesta- “Juvenalia”  on 15th & 16th March, 2019. This year’s theme was “Roots” and students represented defining characteristics of Indian culture with their singing, dance and theatrical performances.

Our esteemed Vice-Chairman, Mr. Ankit Goel and his wife, Madam Mansi Goel graced the event with their presence. Special guests who graced the event were Mr. Rohit Dalal, Ms Nandini Dalal, Mr Vijay Gupta, Mr Jatin Gupta and Ms Guneet Ohri.

The honourable guests lit the traditional lamp for an auspicious commencement of the programme. The ceremony was followed by an inspiring speech given by our dynamic Vice-Chairman Mr. Ankit Goel. The conch shell was blown to mark an auspicious beginning of all the spellbinding performances.

The Annual Report-“Prologue” was presented by Director Education, Mrs. Rupa Chakravarthy, highlighting the achievements of the students and the new milestones achieved in the year 2018-19. The prize distribution ceremony recognized and rewarded the students for their commendable achievements in sports and academics.   

Students presented a play “The rediscovery of India- An epiphany” and shed light on India’s hospitality, heritage, diverse culture and art. They depicted the importance of the most defining characteristics of Indian culture and its rich history. Captivating theatrical performances were delivered portraying the history of Gurugram. Students also presented a play based on time travel. They acted as famous explorers and voyagers like Messieurs Marco Polo, Vasco Da Gama and Megasthenes who visited India attracted by its fabulous riches.

The audience cheered as Suncity students performed on foot-tapping numbers and stole the show with Mohiniattam, Kathakali, Kalaripattu, Chinese, Manipuri, Goan and Japanese dance forms.   

The programme concluded with a note of gratitude and a rousing curtain call by the students.
